Benny Golson is the composer of famous jazz classics I Remember Clifford, Along Came Betty, Stablemates and The Blues March. These concerts at the Donald R. Seawell Grand Ballroom in the Denver Performing Arts Complex include an open bar, snacks and casual, caberet-style seating. The Donald R. Paul Keller leads a quartet featuring saxophonist Doug Horn, pianist Steve Richko and drummer Sean Dobbins in a special concert at the Ellis Reference & Information Center. The Ellis Reference and Information Center is part of the Monroe County Library System. This special event celebrates the 50th anniversary of Jack Kerouac's The Dhmara Bums. The program entitled Beat Bhikku focuses on the relationships between the radical, sub-cultures of jazz and literature that thrived in New York City in the 1940s and 1950s. Monroe County Library System Program Director Todd Towler will read from the works of Jack Kerouac and the Paul Keller Quartet will supply jazz accompaniment and interludes in the form of music by Dizzy Gillespie, Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk, Lester Young, Bud Powell and John Coltrane. Historian Dr. Julieanna Frost will present an historical assessment of both Jack Kerouac and the Beat Generation. The program also includes an informative and entertaining Power-Point presentation and historical slide show revealing the close connections that bind Bebop Jazz and the Beat Poetry movement.

The Paul Keller Orchestra welcomes Ann Arbor Pioneer High School Jazz Band to the Firefly Club as participants in the 2007 PKO Jazz Student Outreach Program.The PKO will play from 8:15 PM till 9:15. Then, the Pioneer HS Jazz Band will play a 30 minute set from 9:30 PM till 10:00. Members of the Pioneer HS Jazz Band will be invited to join the PKO for the last set from 10:00 till 11:00 PM. The 15-piece Paul Keller Orchestra performs every Monday night from 8:00 PM till 11:00 PM at the Firefly Club. The Firefly Club is located 637 S. Main Street in Ann Arbor, MI (just south of Madison and just north of Hill. The cross street is Mosley).. The PKO plays classic, obscure and original big band material selected from the entire history of Jazz. $7.00 cover charge.

The Paul Keller Ensemble performs every Wednesday from 8:00 PM till midnight at the Firefly Club. The PKE is a three-horn sextet that plays a variety of modern Jazz, swinging standards and creative, original arrangements by Keller and his bandmates that showcase their strong improvising skills. Susan Chastain provides charm and wit and she sings songs from the Great American Songbook. $5.00 cover charge till 11:00 PM, $3.00 cover charge, $3.00 well drinks, $3.00 house wines, $3.00 pints of LaBatt's Blue.

Cornetist Paul Klinger's Easy Street Jazz Band plays Dixieland Jazz every Friday afternoon from 5:30 PM till 8:00 PM. This "TGIF Trad-Jazz Happy Hour" is one of the most popular weekly events in Ann Arbor. What a gasser!

Phil Ogilvie's Rhythm Kings play every Sunday from 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM at the Firefly Club. Co-leaders pianist James Dapogny and sousaphonist Chris Smith have assembled this fine 10-piece ensemble that plays Jazz and dance music from the 1920s and 30s. $7.00 cover charge.
